Five for Friday Pt. 6

1) Funny:  I admittedly have grammar that is quite suspect.  So I really enjoyed the following grammar lesson regarding the use of a lot!  I know grammar, but I assure you it’s hilarious! Check it out here

2) Babies!  Squee!  I sense a Babies/IronMan double feature this weekend.

3) Blog Love: Michelle’s My Six in the City.  Michelle is living out my dream of taking her family and moving to the Big Apple.  She and her family of six live left a 4000 sq. foot home and now live in a two bedroom apt. on the Upper West Side.  Michelle is wicked funny, has an adopted daughter from China and is the founder of the “Bits of my Weekend” Monday posts.  Love her!  Check her blog out here.

4) Design:  I love the bookshelf overload, the girly chandelier and the ghost chairs.  I’m kind of in an unrequited love affair with the Kartell ghost chairs.  The insanely shiny clean floor is unrealistic and wonderful, oh I mean, what the magazines would say “aspirational”.

5) TV: Glee Squee! I was having Junior High Flashbacks watching this weeks Vanilla Ice dance moves! “Anything less then the best is a felony!”

Five for Friday Pt. 5

1) Restaurants:  If you live to Sac or come to Sac you should eat at Hot Italian.  Not only is the building fun and LEED certified but the food is AWESOME!  Witness the Zucchero desert pizza.  It’s like a Nutella cinnabun pizza type thing.  I know that sounds weird but I never claimed to be  a food-writer.  The texture is amazing:  crispy on the outside and sweet and doughy on the inside. Served with some gelato and fruit.  Heaven.

Arnold's hands are itching to destroy this picture.

2. Design:  Having a swing in your home=awesome!  Orange curtains aren’t bad either.

3. Movies:  Everybody’s gonna see Sex and the City 2, right?

4. More Movies:  There’s chatter of a possible Ugly Betty Movie.  I defenitely second that emotion.

I love this screenshot with undying devotion. Her awesome dress! The Kartell ghost chairs of my dreams! The pop of yellow in the back window!

5. Blog Love:  I heart Jenny’s profane and hilarious design blog “My Favorite and My Best”. She basically posts pictures of cool or terrible stuff and describes it as if she were the Samantha Jones of the design world.  Loves it!  Don’t be scared off by her copius use of  the F-Bomb, she’s very sweet and e-mailed me back right away when I asked her a question about her couch.

Casa Perez has a big window EXACTLY like this. I'm getting ideas... dangerous, ideas. Pic via www.myfavoriteandmybest.com

When I'm kind of beat…

I don’t write stuff, I just share hilarious stuff that other people post on the internet.  I present to you exhibit A: This movie has Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrel.  Marky-Mark’s abs and Will Ferrell’s laughs?  Sign me up!!!!

PS: Love Eva Mendes too.  Hitch was such a great movie!

I told Arnold that I wanted to go out this weekend to see this and he responded “Okay, Saturday Night Live”.  It’s my interpretation that he is amenable to this idea.

Update:  Movie was so good.  Don’t take kids though, they will be alternately frightened and bored.  It’s an adult movie about what it feels like to be a kid.
