HI! I read your posts in Melinda´s blog. You made me remember our experience with our daughter Natalia. Our encuentro was also on December (21st, but in 2006). She is almost the same age than Melinda’s Colombianito. We did n’t went through the tantruming-grieving period, but had very similar experiencies than you, expecially what you refered in your post “inner circle”. Natalia was so cute (well, she stil is very cute!) that was almost impossible to keep extrangers and friends away from her! we unintentionally hurt some people’s feelings. Also we met accidentally to Natalia´s foster mom. I wanted to tell you that our families had been blessed by this opportunity because it goes against ICBF’s policies. I’m in touch with Nancy (f-mom) by facebook. She also told us at Bosa’s ICBF Center that it was the first time in more than ten years that she met the parents of one of her chinitos (children). She continued fostering kids during 4 more years and it never happened again. Thank you for your blog and for your post. (yesterday it was our referral’s 4th anniversary)

Thank you for sharing your adoption story, it is just wonderful …worthy of a book. We are also currently waiting on the referral t this time. What agency did you go thru ? I looked at your process time, and it is really impressive how quickly your process has been. I congratulate you, and your husband for sharing your day-to-day with us. It is really encouraging, and we are really excited for you, and your family…God Bless you all….
