Today’s Topic: List your biggest moments in pain
This is not so much a list as a grand tribute to the endurance of my childhood self. When I was about 10 I had a tooth pulled out, without novacaine. I repeat, I had a tooth pulled without painkillers.
Why you ask?
It was a combination of a fresh-out-of-college dentist and a freak infection that rendered novacaine useless in the face of it’s reign of terror.
I was screaming so loudly that everyone else left the office. I imagine that my mother was cowering in the waiting room in the fetal position. A week later the dentist called in tears to check up on me and confessing that she had been suffering guilty nightmares ever since my extraction. A few hours after the event I was totally fine and to this day I have no fear of dentists because I am badass.
As an adult I’ve found out that pulling teeth is a common form of torture. When I saw Sydney Bristow approached by a sadistic “dentist” on Alias I just nodded my head in compassion “It’ll hurt Syd, but you’ll make it through”.
What about you? I hope that none of you can top me(although childbirth sounds quite harrowing as well). Bloggers can link up at

:/ :/ AHHHH I feel dizzy and lightheaded just reading about your experience… YIKES
I’m fortunate enough to say I most definitely cannot top that. You, however, have earned even more respect and admiration from me in this horrifying story
Gruesome, eh?
OUCH!!!!!
