Each Week Elleinadspir, A Place to Share and I will be working our way through the Listography 2011 Book with a rotating Link Part-tay! To find the list of the years topics, check out the Listography Link above.
Today’s Topic: List your favorite foods and things to find at a BBQ
I love BBQ’s so let’s stick a fork in it.
- My friend Marilyn’s Thai chicken
- S’mores
- Real Guacamole
- Fresh Tortillas
- Lumpia
- Colombian Hot Dogs
- Shade
- Strawberry Limade
- Somewhere to swim
- Fruits and Veggies (to mitigate the damage)
- Something with cilantro on top.
I see now that my list is a bit bizarre and oddly specific. What about you guys? What do you want to eat at Barbeques? Danielle’s got the link or you can leave your suggestions in the comments!

Good gracious, I gotta say the Colombian hot dog really jumps off the list. That picture surely helps s—are those potato chips crushed on top?! I’m so intrigued and also now very hungry. Please describe the dog?? And is it really called perro caliente? haha
Yes, hot dogs are actually called perros calientes in Colombia and they are also topped with crushed potato chips, my favorite component of course! A type of pineapple topping is also popular although I’ve had many different variations. The chips are what make them though.
Awesome, here I was thinking I was a creative child putting crushed potato chips in my sandwiches and burgers. Would love to try the pineapple topping! :)
All of the above (except I’m not sure what “Lumpia” is… but I’ll take it anyways).
Lumpia is a filipino spring roll. It’s something I see a lot at barbeques and potlucks. ;)
